Free creative-writing workshops and mentoring for teen girls and gender-expansive teens ages 13–18 worldwide. Join year-round from anywhere; most workshops are online, with some optional in-person events in Los Angeles. Beginners are welcome. Explore poetry alongside fiction, songwriting, screenwriting and other genres through guided activities and visits from professional writers. Register using BOTH the teen form and parent/guardian consent form; 18-year-olds complete the consent form themselves. Allow about a week for processing. Workshops are held mainly on Saturdays and Wednesdays. Request help with a particular writing project or ongoing weekly mentoring; weekly mentor matching currently has a waiting list. Members can also access leadership development, college guidance and opportunities to submit to the Lines & Breaks literary journal. No fee or annual application deadline.
